Frequently Asked Questions:

When was the Kaiser Papers created?

I have looked through the website and cannot find the information that I need.  What can I do?

Our family has had great experiences with Kaiser.  Is it true that many people do not have the same experience?

How can I prevent such tragedy from happening in my family and with others?

There are other organizations that promote and demand quality health care for patients of the Kaiser system. What is different about the KaiserPapers?

When was the Kaiser Papers created?

The Kaiser Papers was created on September 11, 2000.  Originally it was created as a holding place for material about Kaiser for a private case.  This was done on a private server for personal purposes.  Google picked up the content and people began writing, asking for assistance and offering support.

I have looked through the website and cannot find the information that I need.  What can I do?

Just about all aspects of Kaiser and patient care information are on this site, one way or another.  You can try using the search button on the web pages to zero in on content you are looking for.

Our family has had great experiences with Kaiser.  Is it true that many people do not have the same experience?

Just it is true.  For most anything other than minor ailments, patients risk the chance of becoming a victim of the system.  That is why we strongly encourage pro-advocacy, active family involvement in care and not blindly trusting that all will go as advertised.

How can I prevent such tragedy from happening in my family and with others?

By becoming actively involved in your and your loved one's medical care, learning how the system works and what the motivations are can greatly benefit patients.
If you maintain a website, please consider placing a link to the KaiserPapers website on your site. This helps others access the vital information and services provided by the Kaiser Papers

The KaiserPapers website is 100% supported by donations and advertising.  You can help support our mission by donating financially here:  http://themcrc.info/donate.html and/or by providing any documented information that you feel should be shown to the public.

There are other organizations that promote and demand quality health care for patients of the Kaiser system.  What is different about the KaiserPapers?

As far as we know, the KaiserPapers is one of the few only "watch dog" organizations that does not lobby, refuses to accept corporate funding in any form, and attempts to provide documented evidence of how the Kaiser system works.  We do not present material that is not documented.  Anecdotal stories provided by patients without documentation presented on the website is provided with the understanding that the provider assumes all responsibility for its authenticity.

Time is on the side of Kaiser in providing medical care.  They can delay, with hold and deny care at their will.  Sometimes the patient knows what they are doing and sometimes they do not.  Sometimes they think that the staff is truly incompetent, and do not understand why it is allowed.   The burden of working the numerous channels of the Kaiser system falls on the patient and their caregivers.  Patient education is the best tool a person can have.
